Arcane Mark

You inscribe a personal rune, sigil, or mark upon an object or creature you touch. The mark can be up to 1 square foot in size and can include a complex personal sigil, small drawing, or longer inscription of up to 25 words. The writing can be visible or invisible as you choose, and can be made to glow faintly in darkness if desired. The mark can be placed on a surface without harming the material upon which it is placed.

The mark can also be placed on a creature. If they are unwilling they can make a Wisdom saving throw to avoid being marked. A creature marked by this spell can repeat the saving throw every 30 days, ending the effect on itself on a success. The mark automatically fades after 1 year.

The mark is durable. When placed on nonliving objects, it cannot be removed except by you or by a successful dispel magic spell.
