You manipulate the cold to shape and freeze water or extinguish flames. Choose one of the following effects within range:
Freeze Water Solid. Choose an area of water that you can see within range and that fits within a 5-foot cube, with no creatures in it. You freeze the water.
Freeze Water Surface. Choose an area of water surface that you can see within range that fits within four 5-ft squares. You instantaneously freeze the surface to a depth of 5 inches. The ice can support the weight of a medium character, but to walk across it they must succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check or fall prone.
Glaze Mechanism. You coat a lock, latch, or other Tiny mechanism in ice, freezing it solid such that it cannot be used. A door lock or latch so frozen cannot be opened with a key or lockpick. A fire spell targeted at the lock automatically counteracts this effect. The lock, latch or mechanism can be broken open with a DC 15 Strength (Athletics) check, but this destroys it.
Extinguish Flames. Choose a nonmagical flame that you can see within range and that fits within a 5-foot cube. You instantaneously extinguish the flames within the cube.
The effects that create ice last for 1 hour before melting, if the ambient temperature is above freezing. Otherwise they last indefinitely until above freezing temperatures return.
