Half-elves
"Half-elves are common in Khorvaire. The race is unique to that continent, where it arose of a singular commingling of humans and elves at first contact around -2000 YK. Elves largely stopped mating with humans as quickly as they started, but the half-elven race— or khoravar, as they prefer— had been born. In today's Khorvaire they're their own people without close connection to either parent race."
"Half-elves project attitudes more tied to human ambition than to elf superiority. They tend to ride their emotions hard, being swift to anger, weep, and laugh. They typically accept the hardship of life without complaint, focusing more on their goals and celebrating when the work is done than on the drudgeries and worries of the task at hand."
"Half-elves have no homeland, but can be found throughout the Five Nations. They are common in Aundair, Breland, and Thrane, and a few have migrated to Valenar or Aerenal. Half-elves usually worship the Sovereign Host, though half-elves in Thrane often demonstrate fervent devotion to the Silver Flame. A few dabble in ancestor worship to emulate their elf heritage, but these are rare individuals."1
Description
Physique. Half-elves stand between 4¾ and 5¾ feet tall and weigh on average 135 pounds. Their skin tones, hair colors, and facial features vary widely. Their eyes are often an arresting shade of green or gold, though other colors are not uncommon, and their expressive faces convey a depth of emotion that sets them apart from their elven kin. Their ears are subtly pointed, less pronounced than an elf’s. Their hair varies in texture and color, ranging from fine silver or deep black to rich auburns and sun-kissed blondes, sometimes carrying an unusual sheen in the right light. They possess a natural grace and poise, their movements carrying a fluidity reminiscent of their elven ancestry, yet grounded by the sturdier build inherited from humans.
Age. Half-elves reach adulthood at age 20. They hit middle age around 80 and are considered old past age 110.
Size. A half-elf's size is Medium. To set your height and weight randomly, start with rolling a size modifier:
