Q'barra lies on the southeastern coast of Khorvaire, a broad peninsula between the Atran Isles and Valenar. Seventy years ago, idealists fleeing the collapse of Galifar settled its southwestern region, hoping to build a new nation in memory of Galifar in the snake-infested river delta. That vision survives— barely— in the settlement of Adderport, where the dream of “Galifar United” clings to life amid humid heat, biting insects, and broken promises. Not all who followed the first wave shared their ideals. Charlatans, bandits and worse saw opportunity here. It is a difficult life in Adderport for the would-be heritors of the lost kingdom.

Q'barra at large remains in the hands of its original inhabitants. The region is home to swamp-dwelling kobold clans who have lived here for thousands of years. They revere ancient draconic ruins scattered across the land, which date back to the Age of Dragons. Their society is steeped in draconic myth and spiritual duty, especially concerning the care of these sites. Settlers who disturb the sacred ruins, even by accident, don't get a second warning.
