Whispering Wind

You send a short message, no more than 25 words, on a gentle breeze to a location within range that you are familiar with. The wind takes the most direct available path to the destination. It must be able to reach the location through open air, cracks, or natural channels. If no such path exists, the spell fails.

You choose the wind’s speed—anywhere between 1 mile per hour and 6 miles per hour (1 mile per 10 minutes). When it reaches the destination, it delivers your message in a soft whisper, audible only within 10 feet of the arrival point. The message is delivered whether or not anyone is present to hear it, and the wind dissipates afterward.

This message cannot activate magic items or perform verbal spell components.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the maximum range increases by 2 miles for each slot level above 2nd.
